Hello, I am
Anna Bilokon
AI/ML Engineer with experience in data preprocessing, machine learning models, LLMs, and NLP tasks. I focus on developing and integrating AI-powered features into web and mobile applications to make them smarter and more engaging for users. With a background in frontend development (React, Next.js, Django, TypeScript, UX/UI design) and growing expertise in AI development, I am eager to create practical, user-friendly AI solutions and build applications that have real impact. I thrive in Agile/Scrum environments, enjoy collaborating in cross-functional teams, and I am especially motivated by projects that improve people’s lives through technology.

About Me
I care deeply about building technology that makes life easier, fairer, and more accessible for everyone. My journey started increative design, where I worked as a jewelry designer and learned how much details matter.
Later, I moved into frontend development and UX/UI design , where I discovered my passion for solving problems and creating intuitive, beautiful applications.
Now, I’m expanding into AI and Machine Learning because I believe intelligent systems should be understandable, discoverable, and inclusive. I love the challenge of turning complex problems into solutions that people can actually use and enjoy.
I’m motivated by curiosity, teamwork, and the drive to keep learning. Whether it’s refining a user interface, training a model, or figuring out the best way to integrate new technology, I bring both creativity and focus to every project.

My projects

AI Chatbot – Django Web App with OpenAI & Ollama
Role: AI/Machine learning engineer
A web-based chatbot built with Django and Tailwind CSS. It allows users to ask questions and get AI-powered answers in a clean, chat-style interface. The app supports both OpenAI’s GPT models (cloud) and Ollama (local LLMs), with a provider switcher and conversation history.

Titanic survival prediction project
Role: AI/Machine learning engineer
Built an interactive ML project that predicts Titanic survival with a clean, data-first experience. Fully reproducible pipeline (EDA → feature engineering → model evaluation) and a live Streamlit app where you can enter your own details to instantly see survival probability. Title-aware age imputation and engineered features; compared baselines with ensemble models (Random Forest, Gradient Boosting) using stratified CV (up to 83.8% accuracy, 0.882 ROC AUC).

SkillSwap project
Role: Full-stack developer
Built a Django web app for users to offer/request skills and connect through messaging and reviews. I focused on implementing user authentication (signup, login, logout) and profile creation/editing, allowing users to manage their skills and personal info. Worked in a Scrum-based team using Trello for task management and GitHub with feature branches for collaboration.

SopSmart project
Role: Front-end developer
Built a Next.js web app with a clean Scandinavian UI that helps users search for household items and see how to sort them correctly. Implemented bilingual support (English/Swedish), smart confidence-based search with suggestions, and clear at-home disposal instructions. Added mock recycling station data for items like batteries and glass, and deployed the app on Vercel with TailwindCSS and shadcn/ui for styling.
Movie App
Role: Front-end developer
Developed a cross-platform React Native & Expo movie app integrating the TMDb API to fetch real-time data, featuring debounced high-performance search, a personalized trending algorithm based on user history, robust loading/error handling, and a scalable component-driven architecture ready for full CRUD via a Node.js backend. Bookmark and profile screens are planned next.
Future Solution
Role: Front-end developer
Developed a modern SaaS landing page ensuring full responsiveness across all devices. Every section includes smooth, high-performance animations for an engaging user experience. Parallax effects, infinite scrolling animations for testimonials section, micro interactions across the website. The project focuses on clean design, performance, and animated effects
Market Place
Role: Full-stack developer
This is a modern marketplace web app where users can browse, buy, and sell companies. Built with Next.js 15 (App Router & Server Actions), Supabase (Auth & Database), and TailwindCSS with ShadCN/UI, the project focuses on a smooth and secure user experience.
Gaia.eco project by Illuminum
Role: Front-end developer & UI designer
As a Front-end developer in this project I developed and maintained code for an application based on the R language in Shiny RStudio. The purpose of the project is to provide data to users of different profiles for preserving biodiversity. Design and prototype web application components and features using Figma.

Tic-Tac-Toe Game
Role: Front-end developer
This project is a classic Tic Tac Toe game, designed and developed as part of my front-end development studying. The game is built using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React, offering an interactive and responsive user experience.

UX/UI Design Case Study
Role: UX & UI designer
This project is a design case study project for an audiobook app for children that will help occupy child's time productively. While working on the project, I studied the principles of UX/UI design and the design thinking process. I also have improved my skills in Figma, enhancing my proficiency in creating prototypes and wireframes. I worked on developing visual design elements and accessibility features for this application.
